Healthy Lifestyle Coalition

The Healthy Lifestyle Coalition (HLC) is a partnership among nutritionists, physicians, organizations, health professionals, PE teachers, nurses and other concerned individuals. The coalition exists to share communications, resources and strategies in educating women and their families concerning healthy lifestyle choices.

There is no cost to be a member of the HLC. Our primary concern is making sure that women have the available resources to keep their children and families healthy. Members share their resouces, lend their voice, and can be more proactive by participating in a variety of community events.

Together, we can be a working team with one voice to promote education and provide valuable information to the community on healthy lifestyles for women and their families. Please call for more information or come by for the next scheduled meeting.

This year we have established three workgroups. Our Resource workgroup is working to create an information packet on nutrition and exercise for the entire family. The Media workgroup is keeping Healthy Lifestyles in the media and our Education workgroup is planning a diabetes seminar in conjuction with our Women's Health Expo in the fall and a fund education spring event at Alice Boucher school. Please check back often to get updates on what is happening!
